Meet Dr. David Polizzi
Dr. David Polizzi has been practicing as a psychotherapist since 1989, specializing in addiction treatment across community and criminal justice settings. He holds a PhD in clinical psychology from Duquesne University and is a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor.Throughout his career, Dr. Polizzi has worked extensively with individuals in high-stress careers navigating substance use issues. While he has deep experience supporting physicians and nurses, he works with professionals across all fields, including attorneys and executives, who are managing the unique pressures of maintaining a career while seeking help.He currently serves as a Professor in the School of Criminology and Security Studies at Indiana State University, and previously provided treatment for co-occurring disorders at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh.
